Clinical residencies and research projects in PerioCentrum clinics
After the summer holiday season, the clinical residency programs for dentists and hygienists return to PerioCentrum clinics. Professionals from different regions visit us to accompany our doctors and those responsible for periodontal maintenance in their day to day jobs, thus learning their techniques and protocols.
This September, we counted on the Bone Regeneration course with the visit of Dr. Enrique Ríos, a former student of PerioCentrum Academy, who starts a long-term clinical residency program with us. In this first stay, Dr. Ríos visited the PerioCentrum Ávila clinic led by Dr. Ramón Lorenzo, with whom he has attended the different scheduled surgical interventions and consultations with patients.
On the other hand, in the PerioCentrum Bilbao-Clínica Ortiz-Vigón clinic, we have the visit of Dr. Eugenia Candel and María López, who have been with Dr. Alberto Ortiz-Vigón, who has led this conference, and his team.
PerioCentrum develops, in addition to training programs through PerioCentrum Academy, research studies through PerioCentrum Research. This September students of the Master of Dental Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid, attended in PerioCentrum Bilbao a surgical intervention of a case encompassed in a research project jointly developed by PerioCentrum Research and the department of periodontics and implantology from the University of Gothenburg.
This research is part of an Osteology scholarship to validate the predictability of implant treatment with peri-implantitis with bone defects.
